Conservation Commission
Meeting
November 6, 2008


Peg Arguimbau Chairman, Stephen Cremer, Elizabeth McGrath, and Hank Langstroth were the members present.

7:45 p.m., The Commission reviewed the boundary lines depicted on a draft copy of a survey plan prepared by
Leo Glover concerning the Massapoag Sportsmen’s Club and Conservation Land Swap:

The members of the Commission reviewed Leo Glover’s draft copy of the Sportsmen’s Club survey plan
without any concerns.
Peg will contact Mr. Glover requesting that the Commission be notified when his survey plan for the land swap is
completed for their review and approval.

8:00 p.m., Old/New Business:

The Conservation Administrator informed the members of the Commission that the Selectmen have withdrawn
Warrant Article #1 from the upcoming November Town Meeting due to last the minute changes proposed by
Brickstone concerning their Sharon Hills Development Proposal. The Selectmen have postponed signing the
Brickstone Memorandum of Understanding Agreement. The negotiations between the Selectmen and Brickstone
are ongoing concerning the traffic/roadway design plans, etc., for the proposed development proposal.

Hank Langstroth stated that he recently reviewed the proposed project site concerning the Sharon Commons
Proposed Development Project. He explained to the Commission that some groundwater runoff has deposited
large quantities of silt/sediment along the siltfence barrier installed for erosion control near the bog area located
in the upper portion of the site.  
The Conservation Administrator stated that he would perform an inspection of the site and report back to the Commission.

Peg called for a motion to continue the previous hearing filed by the Sharon DPW for the proposed repairs to the
existing dam and spillway at Mann’s Pond, DEP #SE-280-0498, until further notified by the Applicant.
Hank Langstroth moved. Elizabeth McGrath seconded. Voted. Unanimous.

Peg explained to the Commission that the Selectmen are waiting to review the land appraisal
completed on the Camp Gannet site before moving forward with the Conservation Restriction.

8:25 p.m., Approve Past Meeting Minutes:

Peg called for a motion to approve the September 18, 2008 Meeting Minutes as presented.
Hank Langstroth moved. Elizabeth McGrath seconded. Voted. Unanimous. 4-0-0.

Peg called for a motion to approve the October 2, 2008 Meeting Minutes as amended.
Hank Langstroth moved. Elizabeth McGrath seconded. Voted. Unanimous. 4-0-0.

Peg called for a motion to approve the October 16, 2008 Meeting Minutes as amended.
Hank Langstroth moved. Elizabeth McGrath seconded. Voted. Unanimous. 4-0-0.

The Commission signed bills. Certificate of Compliance for A.G.M., Inc., 158 Wolomolopoag St., DEP File #SE-280-436.
Certificate of Compliance for A.G.M. Inc., Lot 1, Chippewa Road, DEP File #SE-280-0460.
Extension Permit for Eisenhower Drive, LLC, DEP File #SE-280-379, Williams Road Extension.
The Conservation Administrator agreed to sign the Estoppel Certificate upon its completion, on behalf of the Commission,
concerning the Conservation Restriction on Lot 1 Chippewa Rd.

8:50 p.m., Adjournment:
